How Shelter Helps Started
After a series of earthquakes left hundreds of thousands of people in El Salvador without a safe home, a small group of friends from Alberta felt compelled to help. They flew down for one week and built three homes for three different families. While this number may seem small, it was what formed the vision and mission of Shelter today.
Building over 7,000 homes since 2002, our goal is to create lasting impact in families lives and develop holistic and long-term transformation in communities in El Salvador.
