Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC)

Successful completion of the CRFSC entitles you to apply for a Restricted Possession and Acquisition License (PAL), which allows for the purchase of all non-restricted firearms as well as any restricted firearm.

The CFSC is a pre-requisite for the CRFSC – register for both on the same weekend and save $50
The CRFSC is offered the day after the CFSC, and typically runs from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm on Sunday. Those registering for the CRFSC must have successfully completed the CFSC first.
- Anyone taking the CRFSC within seven days of the CFSC only requires a four-hour session.
- If it has been more than seven days since taking the CFSC, a six-hour session is required.
The class concludes with a written exam administered by the instructor; a minimum score of 80% is needed to pass. Those who successfully pass the written exam will then be required to pass a practical exam. Upon successful completion of both tests, the student will be given the document necessary for the Restricted PAL application process.

Cancellation Policy:
- If you are unable to make your class date, please give as much advance notice as possible, as there may be people on a wait list for your spot. You may be rebooked once for a future class.
- If you ask for a second date change or fail to show up for the course, an administrative fee may be charged.
